In an effort to kick myself into must-make-good-use-of-my-two-and-a-half-month-paid-vacation mode, I've made another blog, http://daegunoksaeksari.blogspot.com/. I'm hoping to collect some information about restaurants, shops, activities, etc in Daegu that are not as destructive as they could be. (It's a low bar, but I've sort of stopped believing that there can be any such thing as "Green Living" without massive social change).
So, please have a look every now and again. Let me know what you think. Suggestions welcome.

It would be great if rather than labels such as "green", "environmentally friendly", and "organic" (not to mention the glut of associated exclamation points), companies starting to use the marketing slogan "not as destructive as we could be" to entice customers.
I can easily picture that catchphrase plastered all over REI. And the dry cleaner down the block from me would put up a new [plastic, non-biodegradable] banner toting how they're "not as destructive a cleaner as they could be."
Also, my most recent environmental pet peeve is the practice of dumping phone books on the front steps of people with no use for them. Blog post to come soon.
