The circumstances were a little weird and I won't go into them at the moment. I'll just be as straightforward as possible.
I ate a goat brain tonight.
Apparently if you've got enough cilantro you can get through just about anything.
To the goat: I'm sorry. I still love you and I still plan on being a vegan. Please understand.

This reminds me of a time when I was teaching in Jamaica. Some Jamaican friends and I went to a reggae jam fest. At the festival there were heaps of vendors (think Jinhae during a cherry blossom season), and a friend walked up to me with a cup of soup. He demanded I try it, as it was a Jamaican staple; I pleaded he tell me what it was, but he declined and continued on with his demand. After a couple slurps of what I thought were noodles, he went on to inform me that it was goat brain. It's been almost 10 years ago, but from what I recall, it tasted like chicken noodle soup. Haven't eaten goat, or brain, since...
